Washington Post: Power of Stimulus Slow to Take Hold

Here is an article in the July 8 The Washington Post about the status of the stimulus spending and whether there is a need for an additional spending bill.  This comes on the heals of the higher than expected unemployment numbers released last week. 

In the paper section of this site, there is a link to a recent working paper by Andrew Mountford and Harald Uhlig at the National Bureau of Economic Research which looks at the effects of fiscal policy shocks.  At the blog Sparty, the author provides some thoughts on the Obama administration’s stimulus package.
